We wanted to bring you as many chances to podium as possible for both days so there are many awards and medals up for grabs! Frequently asked questions

  • Yes, shoes are required for all events—no exceptions

  • No, false grip is not allowed. A regular pronated grip or slight overhand grip is permitted.

  • Knee kipping is strictly prohibited in most events, but slight knee and hip kipping are allowed for certain female categories, affecting execution scores.

  • If you release the bar before fully locking out at the top and bottom, the rep will not count. Always demonstrate control before dismounting.

  • Plates must always be squeezed between the feet or knees. For squats, the plate must be held in a double-handed bent-arm grip in front of the body.

  • In the weighted 45lb muscle-up event, you must pause for at least 1 second at the top, but resting for more than 5 seconds is not allowed.
